| Résumé : | Le bassin qui se trouve dans l'avant pays de l'Atlas en Afrique du Nord est un dépôt-centre structurellement contrôlé par la compression Miocène-Pliocène, associée à l'orogenèse de l'Atlas. Les dépôts alluvials et les systèmes fluviaux sont présents dans le Nord de la marge du Bassin, Un shebkha continental occupe le centre du bassin, et des dépôts éoliens caractérisent le Sud de la marge.
