Résumé : | This study consists in 3D modeling of crystals that belong to a synthetic basalt. The goal of this reconstruction is to understand the thermic history of this basalt and moreover the thermic history of the 1110°C quenched marble (Pupier et al., 2008). This basalt contains plagioclase's crystals and olivine's crystals, the olivines are the one to be modeled. Plagioclases have been modeled by Charles, 2016. The objective is to continue the modeling work on this marble and extract information on olivine such as their morphology, their volume in the marble and their size. This 3D reconstruction is possible thanks to the 3XEPERIENCE©, a software developed by Dassault Systèmes, and thanks to Blob3D©, a software made by the UTCT. Sequences of images, obtained by CT micro-Tomography, from the synthetic basalt marble are used in order to identify the crystal's sections and link them with each other to have a 3D piece. Once these crystals are made, it is possible to make axes and volume measure to extract connectivity, crystallinity and CSD values. These calculations will be done with both Blob3D© and 3DEXPERIENCE© data in order to have an increased precision. Moreover, precise morphologies are observed. The results are compared with the literature and previous work based on the same basalt. This comparison shows that the results are relevant. The CSD's curves are log-linear decreasing showing that the results are following on from previous works. |
