Résumé : | Currently at the heart of the present and future energetic issues, the carbon-free energy production, as an alternative to the oils and others fossil energies, is now the subject of many studies. The natural hydrogen takes place as a partial solution but stay at this time at the industrial production stage by synthesis of fossil components. However, all around the world, many sites have been discovered, rejecting hydrogen-rich streams. Whether in Turkey, Philippines or Russia, these natural hydrogen-rich sources are known to man for many decades. Proof of an emerging interest for this new energy source, experimental production sites have been installed in Mali and Kansas, enabling for example the power of a village in electricity. Hydrogen's origins of production are various and can be separated by their exploration potential. The main criteria are the quantity available and the exploration facility. So, two contexts are principally studied in this report, the water alteration of ferrous minerals by serpentinization and water radiolysis by ionizing radiation. The hydrogen as a very volatile element, very easy to recombine with other molecules, is particularly hard to catch and stock in a reservoir. Hydrogen accumulation in a specific place is only been allowed by the combination of several factors, requiring specific geologic and hydrogeologic contexts. The serpentinization takes place in ferro-magnesian-rich ophiolitic rocks. Water radiolysis is associated with granitic rocks in various basements, rich in unstable elements (Th, U, K). After, transport and accumulation can be regulated by hydrothermal fluids circulations, so waters analysis of these ones are real indications about the exploration potential of the area. |
